What we do

ECLISA makes the connection between donors with a heart for South Aftica, and good Christian projects in that region. Projects supported cover education and training from cradle to pulpit, and range from specific Christian proclamation and training, to spreading the gospel message alongside social action.

We are always happy to hear of good Christian work and will consider making grants where the project satisfies our charitable criteria, including specifically 'The advancement of the Christian faith for the benefit of the people of Southern Africa and beyond in particular but not exclusively by support, deployment and training of evangelical Christian leaders committed to the proclamation and teaching of the Word of God and testimony of Jesus Christ set forth in scripture to work in Southern Africa'.

Applicants will be asked to provide information in at least the four following areas:

  • The financial case for the project to be supported .
  • The manner and frequency with which reports would be made back to ECLISA trustees of progress and the application of funds .
  • Where the project is a new one, not similar to previous projects, an explanation of the new thinking and how that fits in with existing work .
  • A suitable person to vouch for the manager of the particular project to be supported, the person to be independent of the project manager
